Trauma, grief, sustained stress, compassion fatigue, anxiety and behaviours of concern rarely arrive on their own. They build inside the nervous system over time and surface in a child's behaviour, a caregiver's capacity to stay present, or a practitioner's capacity to keep doing work they remain committed to. Yet within this reality, there is a path toward processing what has happened and building the capacity to move forward.
1:1 Therapeutic Counselling offers a safe, confidential space to work directly with what the nervous system is carrying: trauma, behaviour, dysregulation, grief and the neuro-bio-physiological patterns within. Drawing on clinical expertise in trauma intervention, behaviour and the neuro-bio-physiological aspects of the nervous system, I work alongside children, caregivers, teachers and the care workforce to process what has happened, understand what the body and behaviour are communicating, and build lasting regulation capacity. This is grounded in over a decade of clinical practice inside care and education organisations and private practice.

"I left with sense of easy every time I had a session with Michelle, her informed, nurturing approach met me exactly where I was at in the depth of grief and slowly supported me to return to my body and mind, to function, remember and to recreate a sense of nurturing within myself."

"Very thankful for Michelle's therapeutic support for my daughter and advocacy for my daughters needs and inclusion at school."

"Michelle facilitated therapeutic care sessions with 2 children with developmental trauma, supporting the children to learn how to interact and make their own boundary in a playful way, they practiced ways of setting their boundary. Over the course of the therapeutic consults the children were upholding their own boundaries and interacting more. All the team noticed the change.

"I was referred to Michelle through my organisation after a significant event. I was restless not sleeping and old feelings I had forgotten were impacting my ability to concentrate and be present in my work. Michelle's explanaition and somatic experiencing approach supported me to notice sensations and progressively release old experiences stored in my body, I was suprised what I felt and how over time with practices at home to support, I had more capacity, better sleep and felt more in my body.
